This module will focus on explaining what are Foraminifera and their implications for coastal research. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the specifics of bioindicators using benthic foraminifera as an example. It will provide practical experience applying the FORAM Index and interpreting habitat quality using quantitative data from Jobos Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, Puerto Rico. Along the way, you will learn from scientists and experts on the topics discussed.
