Fish, forests, and phosphorus:
How do tropical fish, rainforest canopies, and volcanic groundwater inputs affect stream phosphorus cycling?
Nutrient cycling is affected by many ecological factors. How important is one fish species?
and
In Costa Rican rainforest streams, stream nutrient levels vary depending on the source of groundwater. Within the streams, different fish species have different diets, feeding on aquatic and/or terrestrial prey. In this study, explore how the drivers of phosphorus cycling change with stream characteristics and how these findings are relevant to the conservation of tropical ecosystems.
