The purpose of the training module is to provide a basic understanding of sustainable purchasing (also referred to as environmentally preferable purchasing or EPP) and its benefits; recommend strategies to assist with implementation; and provide resources and tools for each step along the way.
The module is designed for municipalities that have already established a sustainable purchasing program. It is meant for all staff regardless of their position within the organization.
Upon completion and successful demonstration of sustainable purchasing knowledge, participants will receive a certificate of completion for their work.
