By looking into the supply chain structure and relevant actors within Ghana's cocoa industry, we will assess the potential impacts the EUDR may have. At a broad scale, comparing Ghana to other global cocoa producing countries will give an idea of how their influence may shift under new regulations. At a domestic scale, we examine factors such as existing infrastructure, programs for smallholder support, encroachment risk, in tandem with LLM's to model regional shifts within the country. At the end, we present a small activity for educators that highlights what different supply chain actors must do to ensure EUDR compliance, and demonstrates how different infrastructure readiness can affect ease of adoption.
